What you do…

• Work closely with Creative Directors and play an integral part in the creative process by offering innovative platform and technology solutions to overall campaign ideas • Partner with producers to define scopes and development plans in waterfall and agile development cycles and invent technical solutions to bring creative ideas to life. • Ensure that correct technology processes are employed and followed accordingly (eg. release and QA planning, issues management, load/performance testing deployment planning) are followed by the project team • Define and document best practices and contribute to company knowledge sharing effort • Participate in new business opportunities as required, develop proposals and scopes of work as required

What you need…

• Expert domain knowledge in at least one TBG domain: interactive advertising, SaaS, mobile, or desktop software development. • Reputation as a thought leader in tech community at large. • Voracious appetite for emerging technologies. • Presence in open source software community. • Ability to work with non-technical parties to create exceptionally technical plans. • Experience building a team, preferably in a start-up environment. • Experience managing operational budgets. • Experience running interviews for technologists. • Non-dogmatic engineer at heart. Pragmatic to the core, but inspired by the bleeding edge. • Demonstrable experience writing scalable and efficient code. • Demonstrable experience as an architect of scalable systems, including techniques like sharding, replication, downstream caching, and fault-tolerant designs. • Expert knowledge of at least three dominant programming languages for the web. Provable understanding of enterprise and application design patterns • 10+ years experience developing major applications, mentoring teams, and managing projects. • Mastery of SQL, including views, triggers, and stored procedures on at least one major RDBMS. • Working familiarity with non-relational databases, column databases, and document databases. • Extensive experience profiling all points in a system stack. • Deep understanding of HTTP and HTTP-related architectural styles • Experience designing test plans including load testing, security testing, and functional testing • Experience creating ERDs, end-user documentation, IT documentation, and system topographies

Senior .NET Developer

My client is an online publisher that is looking to hire a senior developer/technical lead who has extensive experience in creating web sites and other interactive products using HTML/CSS, C# and ASP.NET. The ideal candidate will be a motivated problem-solver with an positive, inquisitive attitude and previous management experience.  This candidate will also be well versed in a broad variety of web technologies — not solely focused on Microsoft-based development methodologies – and will preferably be from a Media or Agency background.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide project methodology and deliver mechanisms and structure to the developers

Collaborate with designers and product managers during the design process, especially to guide interface usability and help provide suggestions as to how to best utilize existing tools/data/services.

Assist in project planning efforts by providing technical expertise and development time estimates

The ideal candidate will be a motivated problem-solver with an positive, inquisitive attitude and will also be well versed in a broad variety of web technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

Expert knowledge and solid working experience designing efficient, cross-browser user-facing websites.  Extensive experience in handling variations across different browser versions, including Safari, MSIE 7/8, Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

Expert knowledge of CSS, XHTML, HTML, DOM, JavaScript & AJAX concepts.

Extensive experience in C#/.NET a plus.

Experience in working with RSS / JSON / REST services. 

Advanced JavaScript knowledge with JQuery a definite plus.

Position Summary

The Associate Web Developer works with the Manager of Web Development in collaboration with designers and members of the marketing team to develop and maintain all content on client website.

The Associate Web Developer is a new role that reports to the Managing Director of Digital Initiatives for marketing team. The client is a non-profit organization.

The Associate Web Developer will play a key role in several major marketing initiatives, including a complete overhaul of the website’s design and codebase.

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Working with the Manager of Web Development to design, code, and test new dynamic site features
  • Executing all front-end web development, including content updates, implementing design changes to site templates and so on
  • Coding HTML e-mails for marketing campaigns
  • Working with the Manager of Digital Analysis to customize Google Analytics and Google Web Optimizer code
  • Creating and updating graphics in consultation with in-house designers

Qualifications

Education and experience 

  • 1-3 years of experience in web development, including front-end and programming work

My client is looking for an Application Architect with an impeccable track record and leadership experience. They want someone who is not only a great developer, but a strategic, entrepreneurial thinker to build their application development team. They are a small company just starting to take off, and they need a sharp technologist with vision and business acumen to develop their Internet and application strategy for the future.

This role will oversee the whole software development life cycle for their publishing platform (content management system in .NET backed by SQL server) and website and subscription system (Ruby on Rails application backed by MySQL databases) as well as build a team to execute the projects which include user generated content, structured data and real-time information delivery.
